During a serendipitous stroll through Coconut Grove, I happened upon this Bib Gourmand diner that was, to my fortunate happenstance, not busy on a Saturday morning. I am always looking for a good breakfast place, so I was very excited at the positive yelp reviews
The service was excellent from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you left. The view of the dining area was of a charming neighborhood diner. It also helped that everyone was in a great mood and there was lots of bustling activity outside if you wanted to people watch.
I couldn't help myself and ordered a plate of the Beltran's bacon, steak cut (read thick) slices of bacon that were served with smoked maple syrup. I am not difficult to impress when it comes to bacon and this did not disappoint.
Next was my main course of the Lechon Hash, which composed of the lechon asado, mojo onions and a fried egg. The best part was definitely the lechon which had a little bit of tangy sauce to accentuate and offset the smoky flavor from the pork. It was flavorful elegance in its simplicity, I truly enjoyed my short meal and was ready for a full day ahead.
