This episode is one of reveals. The plot thickens as we learn that it is not all sunshine and rainbows with Mike Evans and the San-Ti. After revealing that we as a species are capable of lying and often do even inadvertantly, the San-Ti are taken aback as their species and civil. We learn more of how things work in the organization that has been recruiting the best of the best for the purpose of "welcoming" the San-Ti. The ship "Judgment Day," in the 1980s contained all of the components needed to communicate with the San-Ti. Now, it houses the members of the organization including children. It resembles a cult of sorts. However, their God exists and is en route to conquer the planet.

- The aliens are reverently referred to as "lord" by both Mike Evans and Ye Wenjie and everyone else in the organization.

Analysis
This story has done an amazing job of having us empathize, sympathize and cheer for Ye Wenjie only to have a twist reveal of her being the leader of the strange happenings in the world. Having been through adversity before and with a lifelong faith in the San-Ti, she is unshakeable in the face of major opposition even while in custody.
The suspense builds with who the San-Ti are, what they look like and what are their intentions.

- Jin Cheng - after being invited to join the organization, she is injured during a police sting.
- Ye Wenjie - revealed as the leader of the organization that has been recruiting through the use of the helmets.
- Will Downing - has a crush on Jin. Apparently is a physics professor and learns he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer with metastasis all over to liver and lungs. Gets more courage to ask Jin out.
- Thomas Wade - The rich boss of Clarence, however seems to be important and powerful, maybe more so than depicted.
- Clarence Shi (Officer) - has been fired from Scotland Yard, MI5, OSCT, is the lead officer on the case and surreptitiously keeping track on the scientists. He is visited by the villain woman while in the cemetery visiting the tombstone of his late wife. Saves Jin's life during a stink operation gone awry.
- Mike Evans - leader of Evans Energy, conservationist.
- Villain woman - murders Jack Rooney. Seems to be a human but with more capability than most, she could be an early alien presence. Shoots Jin during the Sting operation. She manages to crawl away and escape being arrested.
Lingering Questions
- There are a lot of dead physicists, why and what is the connection? Is this part of a pre-invasion preparation to prevent Earth from having good enough technology to defend itself?
