Stubborn Seed in Miami Beach

The Stubborn Seed with its Top Chef Season 13 Winner Jeremy Ford is a Michelin star restaurant in the southern part of Miami Beach. it has an ever changing menu with a great modern interior that provides a great street view no matter which seat you take. The restaurant has a 5-course as well as 8-course chef tasting menu and allows for a la carte ordering from the bar. Of all the michelin star restaurants in Miami, I felt that he paid most attention to local ingredients, especially with a dish that makes use of alligator meat.

Amuse bouche - Melons in Raspberry Gazpacho

Summer Melons (Watermelon, Cantaloupe) with Starflower served with Clarified Fermented Raspberry Gazpacho.

Zaatar Pita

Cultured brown butter, mango chutney and starfruit relish.

​Coal Kissed Kusshi Oyster

strawberry granita, pickled watermelon rind, calamansi.

Seth's Ume-Su Cured-Hamachi

Rhubarb relish, yuzu broth and tarragon oil. It is a nice touch that the shape of a michelin star is incorporated in the dish.

Conclusion

One of my favorite restaurants in the list of Michelin Star restaurants in Miami. I eagerly await for new dishes utilizing local ingredients and will return for another chef's tasting menu offering.
