L'Atelier Miami Fall 2023 menu experience

LAtelier-Outside

The new fall menu is out from L'Atelier in Miami and it has a good assortment of traditional fall flavors including maple bacon, honeynut squash and chestnuts but also with the fine dining twist including foie gras, coconut laminated pastry dishes and elderberry. The nice thing about this menu is you can come back and have a different variation as each course offers a choice between three dishes. I particularly enjoyed this meal and felt all dishes were excellent. The addon of white truffle spaghetti was also very delicious.

Amuse Bouche

Nice touch by making the tapioca bonbon (with chia seeds and rosemary) in the shape of a michelin star. The left is the familiar foie gras port wine reduction with parmesan foam. I happen to think the foie gras port wine reduction can be mixed with almost anything and I've seen it with other accompaniments as it was a similar offering the Evolution Menu

Les Huitres

Les Huitres

Literal translation "The Clams," and it was a delicious dish with apple espuma, braised fennel, and fresh yuzu. I liked the presentation and it was a nice idea to serve it on a bed of sea salt for stability.

Le Foie Gras

A squid ink ravioli that is stuffed with Foie Gras and sweetbread served a top a chestnut mousse. It is served with caramelized buttermilk, honeynut squash (on the right).

White Truffle Spaghetti

White Truffle Spaghetti

White truffle spaghetti with parmesan emulsion. Strangely might be my favorite dish of the night however the Foie gras in squid ink was also very good.

Le Bison

A view of the swiss chard and duxelle mixture

A wellington style filet of bison with coconut laminated pastry, swiss chard, mushrooms and red wine jus. A side of pomme frites (mashed potatoes) were served as well. It was delicious.

Mont Blanc

Mont Blanc Dessert

Chestnut cream, vanilla chantilly iced cream, oreo cookie crumble and elderberry compote. Delicious and not too sweet.

Conclusion

A delicious assortment of foods.  Not too expensive so long as you dont put a lot of add ons. Although the white truffle spaghetti was among my favorite dishes, the cost almost doubled my bill.
